AB 109

The California Bail Agents Association, Golden State Bail Agents Association and The American Bail Coalition have come together to lead the bail industry in a fight against AB109.  The Governor’s realignment law will have some dire consequences on surety bail if we do not battle back. We hope that you can unite with us and your colleagues to save our industry. 

We are launching a Public Relations Campaign to educate our state representatives, the criminal justice system, crime victims groups, and the general public about the great job we do. It is time for our industry to get serious and stand tall and proud.  We alleviate overcrowding at jails across the state. We have an impeccable record of making sure the accused is present when required. This fact alone saves money for an already strapped criminal justice system. We make the accused accountable.  And we do all this at no cost to taxpayers.  

We are one of the most unique businesses in the world with a proven record of success. WE KNOW IT, THEY DON’T.  We ask you to stand with us and tell The Great State of California who we are and what we do!

To help in this campaign, please send your contributions to either CBAA or GSBAA.  In an effort to bolster our Public Relations Campaign (PRC) and our Political Action Campaign (PAC), we ask you to please make 80% of your contribution towards the PRC and 20% to the PAC. These funds will work in concert in the aforementioned efforts. So, please feel free to work with either association.
